Essential Oil FAQS
Hot Oils: Some oils are "HOT" as they can create a burning sensation on the skin. These oils require dilution with a carrier oil such as Organic Coconut Oil or Young Living's V-6 Oil. Examples: Cinnamon, Oregano, and Clove. Always read labels before application.
Photosensitivity: Oils such as all Citrus Oils are photosensitive. These oils can cause burns on the skin where they are applied and then exposed to direct sunlight. Always read labels before application.
Pregnancy: Always consult your OB or Midwife before use of Essential Oils. There are paticular oils that should be used with caution, so always read labels and guides throughly before use.
Children: Always dilute oils before using on children and infants. A safe start is a 1:1 ratio with a carrier oil such as Organic Coconut Oil or Young Living's V-6 Oil. Application to the bottom of the feet is the safest and most effective way to treat chilrden and infants.
Ear & Eye Care: Never drop oils into the eyes or into the ear canal. Application of dilluted oils around the ears and eyes is recommended.
Store oils in a cool, dark place, so they can maintain maximum potency
