I don't know if I was just young and dumb with my first daughter, but I was so trustworthy of the products I was putting on her. If they were marketing them to babies and families, then they must be good for you, right!? No. Very wrong. Most products are filled with alcohol, dyes, and other harsh ingredients.
My daughter ended up having lots of skin issues. She had severe ezcema, psoriasis, moluscums, and was very sensitive to developing heat rash. It got to the point that she wasn't able to use ANY soaps or shampoos and wasn't able to take baths. Its hard not to think that there was a link between the products I was using on her as a baby and the vast amount of skin issues she has now as a big kid. I have been able to squash out the skins issues in recent days with essential oils and diet, that however is plenty of information for another blog.
When I got pregnant with my second daughter I really wanted to do things differently with her care. First off, I didn't want to put a bunch of harsh chemicals on her. Secondly, I wanted to take a more naturally approach to her care. That's where Young Living Essential Oils came in. She is 3 months old now and I can successfully say she is a chemical free baby. Cradle cap, dry skin, cough and cold, upset tummy, diaper rash, and the list goes on. But, everything has been alleviated with essential oils. I haven't had to rely on over the counter medicine and synthetic creams and ointments. Below I will outline the individual solutions that worked on my daughter. I am not a doctor and results may vary. Please do your own research.
