I'm not sure where you are reading this from, but I live in the city of trees, the beautiful capital of California, Sacramento. We tend not to have seasons here, in fact I think we are the only people in the country currently not under 50 feet of snow. Not to brag, but we have been enjoying 60-70 degree weather all "winter." Because we don't have actual seasons, the trees are utterly confused. There are gorgeous blooms of flowers everywhere you look. I really don't mind it, but I live with two people who are basically tortured all spring and fall by seasonal allergies. My husband and my 9 year old daughter have been on a daily dose of Zyrtec and Claritin for years now. That is until we started using our oils, I know, I know... what don't they do? Well, let me know when you find something! :) Below I will outline what has worked for my family. I am NOT a medical doctor and please, as always do your own research.
Lemon, Lavender, and Peppermint (+ Copaiba) also affectionately called the LLP blend. Since my family suffers so greatly from seasonal allergies I try to hit them in all ways possible. They take capsules, I make a roll on, and I diffuse these oils to get maximum benefits because its all about repetition when you are fighting something.
Capsules: Young Living sells these or you can buy a huge bag on Amazon here. I add 5 drops each of Lemon, Lavender, and Peppermint and they take these in the morning. You can also add the drops to a milk of your choice or honey. I find if I give them the capsules in the morning it can usually get them by till after school when I give them another one.
Roll on: I never throw out empty bottles because I use them when I make my own Roll ons, like an allergy one for this time of year. I keep it in my purse and there is one floating around the house somewhere too. I fill the bottle about 3/4 of the way full with organic Olive or Grapeseed Oil and then add 6-8 drops of Lemon, Lavender, Peppermint, and this time Copaiba too. Copaiba is a magnifier, so it will intensify the effects of the oils its used with in the roll on. I pop a roller ball on and blammo I have a handy roll on I can use on my family when they are overcome with a sneezing fit, runny nose, or itchy eyes. I roll it behind their ears, the bridge of their nose, or down the back of their necks.
Diffuser: Same blend as above, lemon, lavender, and peppermint, but this time in the diffuser. I set both our diffusers on full blast and let them run. I see a lot of benefits to this method. The fastest way to get oils in your system is through direct inhalation.
